1. The April 2026 MGNREGA Wage Hike
Every financial year, wages are adjusted based on the Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL). Depending on which state you live in, your daily wage will increase by ₹10 to ₹35 per day starting April 1, 2026.
States like Haryana and Kerala continue to offer the highest daily wages (over ₹350+ per day), while states like UP and Bihar generally see revised baseline increases. If you are doing manual labor after April 1, you must demand the new state-mandated rate from your Gram Panchayat. The portal will automatically calculate your total based on these new rates.
2. How to Check the NREGA Job Card List 2026-27

- Visit the official MGNREGA portal: nrega.nic.in
- Scroll down to the "Quick Access" menu and click on Panchayats GP/PS/ZP Login.
- Select Gram Panchayats, then click on Generate Reports.
- Select your State, then choose the Financial Year as 2026-2027.
- Enter your District, Block, and Panchayat, and click Proceed.
- Under the 'R1. Job Card/Registration' section, click on Job Card/Employment Register.
This will load a massive list containing the names and Job Card numbers of everyone in your village. Click on your specific Job Card number (highlighted in blue) to download your digital card. If your name is missing, your card has been deleted by the system.
