The e-Shram Portal was launched by the Government of India to create a national database of workers in the unorganised sector. In 2026, having an e-Shram Card (UAN Card) is important to access social security schemes, insurance benefits, and direct government support.

If you are already registered but your bank account has become inactive or frozen, make sure to fix it first. Refer to our guide on bank account Re-KYC issues to avoid missing DBT benefits.
